During the event, the deputy Malaysian High Commissioner, Syed Nauzer Idid, emphasized the importance of sustainable practices and certification programs such as the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) and the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). These programs, he noted, address global sustainability concerns and could help Ghana enhance its competitive edge in both African and international markets.
The deputy High Commissioner also highlighted Ghana’s role as host of the AfCFTA Secretariat and urged Ghanaian producers to capitalize on this position to improve market competitiveness.
Malaysia’s support, he suggested, would empower Ghana with the expertise and industry knowledge necessary to advance its palm oil production.
