President Akufo-Addo has chastised his political opponents for failing to recognise the significant work that his administration has accomplished during his tenure in office.

He said this during the commissioning of the first phase of the One Hundred and Fifty megawatt Kumasi One Thermal Power Plant and the Genser Energy Kumasi Pipeline, located at Anwomaso in the Greater Kumasi Metropolitan Area.

President Akufo-Addo underscored the importance of the project in the Ashanti Region, stating that his government is committed to ensuring that all parts of the country have access to electricity.

“This project represents a significant step forward in our quest to provide sustainable electricity for our nation particularly, for inhabitants of the Ashanti Region. As our population and economic activities continue to grow, resulting in increased power demand, projects such as this power station are important in boosting our energy supply to meet the expectations of Ghanaians.

“The project is further confirmation if any was needed of my government’s resolve to ensure that all parts of the country have the necessary infrastructure for development. It is in support of our determination to enhance economic growth and social progress throughout Ghana,” he added
