Michael Ni Nortey Oquaye Jnr, Ghana’s High Commissioner to India, made a donation to the Muslim community in the Dome Kwabenya Constituency as part of his annual gesture to the muslims in the community.
The items were presented by a representative to the High Commissioner to the Nasara Executives for the said constituency, who couldn’t hide their joy and appreciation that he had still remembered them all the way from India.
The items included 5 bags of sugar(50kg), 100 bottles of oil, 15 bags of rice and a cash donation of 2,000.00 cedis.
His personal message attached to the donation read, “I wish our Muslim community all the best in their endeavors as I pray to the Almighty Allah to listen and answer all their prayers in His own time”. He added that, there were a lot of health benefits (physical) as one devotes his time to fast for such a long period of days. He further added that, apart from the physical benefit of fasting, spiritually, one gets closer to Allah for support and guidance. He urged all meaning Muslims to continue to support His Excellency the president of Ghana Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, to achieve one of his main goals of switching Ghana from AID to a NON-AID country.
Touching on the president’s top most agenda on the One District One Factory, the High Commissioner to India stated that the time has come for Ghana to benefit from One District One Factory and he would do his very best to continue bringing investors from India to Ghana and especially to his Constituency to establish so the youth can also take advantage to make a living. Finally, on Scholarships, he assured all of the need to support the youth who wish to study abroad especially in India. He promised to continue giving more scholarships to that end.
Constituency Nasara Coordinator and his Deputy Ibrahim Seidu and Eliasu Adams together with some executives of the Muslim community expressed their heartfelt appreciation for this noble gesture and promised to remember the High Commissioner to India in their prayers as Allah continues t use him to bless and touch the lives of many.
