“We have collaborated with various partners, including banks, developers, and consultants like TDC, to develop over 500 housing units in three phases,” he stated,

“In the first phase, we completed 204 units, which have been sold out on mortgage to ordinary civil servants and other workers who are paying for up to 20 years at interest rates lower than market values.”

Mr. Zamanu further stated that in phase two of the project, some units were sold for cash to subsidize affordable housing options and that currently, engineers are working on phase three, which will consist of nearly 129 units of three and two-bedroom apartment blocks.

Mr. Zamanu concluded by calling for additional support to enhance the ministry’s efforts in delivering adequate, affordable, and conducive housing facilities across the country.
