Minority Leader objects to Finance Minister’s arrival after Veep Dr. Bawumia

Minority leader, Haruna Iddrisu, has expressed misgivings at the Finance Minister’s late arrival in Parliament.

Mr. Iddrissu indicated that, per protocol arrangements, the finance minister was to be seated before the arrival of the vice president, in respect of hierarchy.

“The Finance Minister knows that he should have been seated before the vice president arrived and not the other way around,’ he stated, amidst approval from the Minority members.

However, deputy Majority leader, Adwoa Safo, objected to the Minority leader’s assertion, maintaining that there was no hard rule on hierarchy in order of arrival. ” Mr. Speaker we are the masters of our own rules” she said, with boos from the opposite side.
