Missing Taadi Girls: Sack Maame Tiwaa now – Western Youth

A Takoradi based Group – Western Youth Movement (WYM), have expressed their state of confusion following the contradictory stands of the Police CID Boss and the NPP government over the kidnapping the three Takoradi girls.

According to them, the Ghana Police Service CID Boss, Maamie Tiwaa Addo Danquah, in one breath hinted Ghanaians that they know the whereabouts of the kidnapped girls and they would soon be reuniting them with their parents.

Later, the Minister for Gender and Social Protection, Cynthia Mamle Morrison, also stated convincingly that these three missing girls are alive. However, the Police is now announcing that they’ve exhumed dead bodies of three young girls.

The WYM and the people of Western Region together with the affected families strongly believe the 3 missing Takoradi girls are alive and must be rescued.

“We wish to register our dissatisfaction at the disparity in the communications concerning the operations of the Western Regional security council, the BNI, and the police and other high profile people involved in bringing back our Takoradi Girls,” the Convener of WYM, Frederick Asante has stated.

He said “….we also to accentuate clearly that the Ghana Police Service is gradually losing our trust and this we believe can give birth to anarchy.

“We demand from government and the Ghana Police Service to bring back our Takoradi Girls as they did to the Canadian girls for which they took glory for doing without any foreign assistance,” WYM charged.

“The Ghana Police CID cannot continue to fail the people of Ghana; we give the government the month of  August, 2019, to remove the police CID boss, Maame Tiwaa Addo Danquah from office if she cannot find our three sisters”, the group charged.

“If the government refuses to remove her we the youth and people of Western Region will hit the street in our numbers against the government”, Frederick Asante added
