Mister, your opinion doesn’t matter – Efya to Blakk Rasta over Sarkodie-Bob Marley remake

“People should realise that sometimes nobody cares what you think. Your opinion right now, Mr Blakk, does not matter. The thing is, the boy has done something, and it’s historic. Be grateful. Let’s honour our people. Let’s be happy for our people,”

Efya Nokturnal has replied to Blak Rasta’s comments that Sarkodie’s feature on Bob Marley’s Stir It Up remake is a “desecration of the holy music.”  According to Efya, Blakk Rasta doesn’t have the aptitude to comment on the historic feature.

For Efya, Blak Rasta should appreciate Sarkodie’s feature because it’s in the right place in Ghana’s music history.

“People should realise that sometimes nobody cares what you think. Your opinion right now, Mr Blakk, does not matter. The thing is, the boy has done something, and it’s historic. Be grateful. Let’s honour our people. Let’s be happy for our people,” she told GHOne.

Elaborating on her stance, Efya added that Blak Rasta should have thought carefully before saying those things about someone whose work has reaped global recognition.

She added, “What level have you reached to afford you the right to criticise the song? Are you Kwame Yeboah? Please have some Backing before you say some of these things. When somebody has done something monumental, just say good work, bro. This is amazing, bro. It doesn’t hurt.”

Blakk Rasta called Sarkodie’s rap verse on Bob Marley and the Wailer’s Stir It Up remark shameful. He described the collaboration as ” a king has been buried, and you go and dig him up and steal his gold and diamonds that he’s been buried with. Urinate right into the grave and walk away laughing like a madman on heat.
