The Methodist Church Ghana has inducted into office, Most Rev Dr Paul Kwabena Boafo as its new presiding Bishop.
He is the 12th presiding Bishop and will lead the church for the next Six years.
At a ceremony at Cape Coast diocese of the church, the outgoing Bishop, Most Rev Titus Awotwe Pratt, in a homely asked his successor to avail himself for use by the church is which the body of Christ.
He tasked the church to support their new leader by way of good counselling and not distractions. Robed in a regalia depicting authority, leadership and humility in service, the new presiding Bishop welcomed his new role and pledged to serve the church with his all.
He thanked government and Ghanaians for supporting the Methodist Church in diverse ways since the establishment of the Church in Ghana some 180 years ago.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and other high level personalities attended the ceremony.
