The Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso East Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mahama Naser Toure, has admonished school children from his constituency to stick to their books. He urged them to eschew truancy and laxity but strive to read their books so they can excel in their education.
Addressing pupils of God’s Will Special Preparatory and JHS, Kanda, the MP charged them to be shining examples worth emulating by other children in the constituency. He was interacting with the pupils when they took an excursion to Parliament House recently.
Toure, popularly known as “Macnaser” by most of his constituents told the children that they are the nation’s future leaders hence they must not fail their parents.
He urged them to obey their teachers and respect elders in the community to enable them grow into responsible adults.
On their part the children expressed gratitude to the MP for the admonition and promised to stick to their books to enable them excel in life
