Honourable Member of Parliaments (MP) for the Shai Osudoku Constituency, Linda Obenewa Ocloo, threw a party for Children, Widows and the Aged in his constituency to mark the New Year 2020.
The event attracted all and Sundry from all the electoral areas within Shia-Osudoku district to mark the New year.
Hon. Linda Obenewa Ocloo, gave away items worth thousands of Ghana Cedis as her way of showing love to the women, the aged and thanking God for the New Year.
The MP who is also the deputy ranking member of the parliamentary select committe on Government Assurance and a member of the select Committee of Agriculture in Parliament urged the Constituents to be each other’s keeper for the sake of love and peace among one another. This was after she donated an amount of Ghc2,000 and assorted products to support the activities of the widow’s association in the area.
Receiving the items on behalf of the beneficiaries, Madam Felicia Maku Tetteh, President of the widowhood association in the area who was enthused by the gesture showered praises on the MP.
“We are much grateful for your numerous support and the historic event organized by your leadership. It was obvious everybody here today is not going home empty handed, we say thank you for putting smiles on our faces again regardless of our political affiliations.”
