MPs recalled for ‘urgent business’ on May 2

The lawmakers are to assemble for an “urgent parliamentary business”, according to the notice of recall issued by the Speaker on Thursday, April 20.

The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has directed the assembly of all members of Parliament on Tuesday, May 2.

The lawmakers are to assemble for an “urgent parliamentary business”, according to the notice of recall issued by the Speaker on Thursday, April 20.

Speaker Bagbin is exercising this authority based on Order 42(3)  of the Standing Orders of the Parliament of Ghana.

Parliament proceeded on recess on Friday, March 31 and was expected to reassemble in July.
