Mr Eazi’s Empawa Opens Up Music Video Slot for Upcoming Artistes
Popular Afrobeat artiste, Mr Eazi has announced an opportunity for upcoming artistes to have their music videos released as part of the emPawa Africa initiative.
He announced this on Sunday via a post on his social media pages encouraging upcoming artistes to take advantage of the said activity.
According to the “Skin tight” hit maker, interested artists are to submit the music videos to have them released via the emPawa Africa YouTube Channel.
EmPawa Africa is an initiative by Mr Eazi that provides the platform for rising African talents in music to be nurtured and helped grow in the highly competitive music industry in Africa. It seeks to equip these artistes with tools, knowledge, network and investment to grow and export their music from Africa to the world.
The first phase of the emPawa program has already produced some promising artists which include; Ghana’s J. Derobie and Nigeria’s Joeboy.
Mr Eazi in an interview made clear his intention to use his exposure and platform gained to help other artistes grow in the industry, as he sees artistes as “companies” to be invested in.
“I see music artists as startups, and labels – or label services’ companies – as sort of VCs. I wondered if I could… invest in an artist (as if they were) a startup,” he stated.
