MTN Ghana has launched a campaign that would allow customers the opportunity to choose a charity project they want implemented in any community of their choice anywhere in the country.
Dubbed “Brighten Your Community” the MTN Foundation which is responsible for the initiative will ensure that it is active on all MTN Ghana’s social media handles including Twitter, Instagram and of course Facebook.
The eight days campaign which is expected to officially starts on Monday, December 2, 2019, would be closing on December 9, 2019.
The Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana, Georgina Asare Fiagbenu who launched the initiative at the Media Center of MTN House last week noted that the campaign is to ensure customers support MTN Ghana to extend help to deprived areas in Ghana.
“Brighten Your Community’ initiative is a national campaign and all MTN customers are eligible to participate,” she stated.
She added that customers are their key stakeholders and have contributed to the successes of MTN, hence the need to invest in the welfare of the communities.
According to her, MTN Ghana has allocated an amount of Ghc 750,000 through the MTN Foundation to be invested in three focus areas including Education, Health and Economic Empowerment within three communities in Ghana.
“The top three communities at the end of the social-media-driven competition will be allocated GHS250,000 each to implement the selected projects,” she stated, adding that, it forms part of MTN Ghana’s Corporate Social Responsibility to its customers.
