Nana Addo must sack Roads Minister – NPP Polling Station Executives demand

election2024

It has come to our attention, we the Concerned Polling Station Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region about some revelations made by a former National Treasurer of the NDC, one Alhaji PMC on Asempa 94.7 FM’s Ekosiisen programme yesterday. Let’s quickly read some of the heartbreaking revelations he made;

I’m having a good life under this NPP Gov’t. I have contracts all over”- Ahmed Abdallah (Former NDC Nat’l Treasurer)

“I can call Roads Minister today but never had such opportunity under my own NDC Gov’t” – Ahmed Abdallah (Former NDC Nat’l Treasurer)

We the members are extremely worried, sad and at the same time angry at the unsound judgement and attitude of our party and government appointees to award contracts to such a person. The NDC stalwart is having a good life whiles we who toiled and risked our lives to bring the party to power are living in abject poverty and total neglect. He says he can call the Roads Minister anytime and have an executive breakfast with him when we the foot soldiers cannot even be listened to by anybody, this is really sad and heartbreaking.

This is the height of cruelty against we the polling station executives who have worked tooth and nail to bring to power our party; our members across the nation are still wallowing in abject poverty each day to find a means of livelihood only to hear a former national executive of the NDC making mockery of us on a national radio.

We find this act of our party and government repugnant and smacks of ungratefullness the toil we put into the 2016 election at the peril of our lives and that of our families. Hon. Mathew Opoku Prempeh and Hon Isaac Asiamah knows how we toiled with them day and night and yet we have nothing to show.

We are serving notice to the rank and file of our party and government officials to watch their steps and decisions. The roads minister should be made to step down for resourcing our opponents.

When its time for the new register, the roads minister should come with that Alhaji PMC and register npp members in Ashanti Region. We shall see.

We leave them with this popular quote, “he who is down, fears no fall”. Why have we abandoned the vehicle that brought us all to power?
Monkey no go work for baboon to chop. Mr. President, please take action.

Signed
1) Anthony Yaw Sarpong (Manyhia Constituency polling station executive)

2) Nana Ama Amponsah (Bantama Polling Station Executive)

3) Kwesi Afari (Kwadaso constituency polling Station Executive)
