Nana Akufo-Addo stop twisting History of Dagbon, Facts are Sacred

The level at which President Akufo-Addo continues to ridicule himself publicly by peddling untruths and falsehoods at age 75 is a big cause of worry to us the younger generation. If he has no regards for the dignity of the Presidency, his age and the truth, at least he should show some respect to the Yaa Naa and the good people of Dagbon.

How could Nana Akufo-Addo look into the eyes of Yaa Naa Mahama Abubakari II and the good people of Dagbon and say that yesterday’s Damba (2019) celebration was the first in 30 years? How? Is he by any stretch of his imagination suggesting that the period between 2015 and 2019, is up to 30 years?

In January 2015, I was in Yendi just like many of my Dagbon compatriots. Dagbon celebrated Damba with pomp and pageantry and in attendance was HE President John Dramani Mahama. He was subsequently given a title “Zoo Maligu Naa” to wit Chief of Reconciliation after the climax of 2015 Damba celebration in Yendi.
The photo graph attached to this message was the traditional regalia given to him by the Regent of Dagbon Kampakuya Naa whose right designation and title now is Naa Bakpem Savulugu-Naa Abdulai Yakubu Andani.

This was the first Damba that witnessed the two royal families jointly participated in the Damba celebration in Yendi together after the 2002 unfortunate incident. Nyeb-Bavim Lana, Nyeb Konkonlana among others were all present.

President Akufo-Addo should please spare the good people of Dagbon with these unwarranted lies. The desperation must stopped.

Nana Akufo-Addo should focus his energy and time on delivering on his 2016 campaign manifesto promises which will form the basis for which Ghanaians will overwhelmingly reject him for his abysmal performance in 2020.

I am a proud son of Dagbon.

I am citizen of Ghana.
