The largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has touted its superior intellectual capacity over the other political parties in the country.

According to the Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2024 Manifesto Planning Committee, Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor, the intellectual prowess and policy acumen of the party sets it apart from other political parties.

Speaking to Accra-based Citi News, Dr Otokunor stressed the party’s reputation for intellectual strength and extensive governance experience.

“Everybody in Ghana knows that if it comes to emptiness, the NDC is not one of them. The NDC, if you want, is the only party in Ghana that when it comes to intellectual capacity, we are outstanding.

“We have those who have seen it, who have lived it, who have shown it, time without number that they understand what it is about policy, what it is about the technicalities of running a government.

Drawing a vivid analogy, Dr Otokunor compared the upcoming election to choosing between alcohol and water, emphasizing that the people of Ghana have already experienced the leadership of President Mahama and understand the impact of his governance.

“This election is a very interesting one. It is just like comparing alcohol and water. You know which one can burn your chest and the one that will not burn your chest.”

“The people of Ghana have experienced President Mahama’s governance. We have experienced how he ran this country in four years and the outcome of President Mahama’s governance,” he stated.
