NDC Holds Capacity Building Workshop For Youth Organizers In North East Region

The North East regional branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC)  on Saturday, 7th December, 2019 organised a training and capacity building workshop for youth organizers  in the North East region.

As part of the workshop, the youth wing of the party led by Hon. George Opare Addo also inaugurated the working committee of the party in the region.

Speaking exclusively to ghfactsoline.com, the NDC Youth Organizer for the North East region, Abubakari  Sulemana Abdul Kudus said the workshop was intended to train and build the capacity of constituency youth organizers and to also inaugurate the working committee members in the region to prepare them very well ahead of the 2020 general elections.

He admitted that the 2020 election is not going to be a simple task hence, the need for the NDC to train their youth and women wing to be vibrant to get the ruling New Patriotic Party out of power in 2020.

According to him, the ruling New Patriotic Party has records of violence, so the need to conscientize and train the NDC youth on how to handle themselves as far 2020 general elections is concerned.

He also expressed his admiration for the national youth organizer for NDC, Hon. George Opare Addo for always working outside his office to train and mobilize the grassroots to win the 2020 general elections.

On his part, the commucation officer for NDC in the North East region, Mr. Imoro Abdul Razak revealed that the quality of training given to the youth is enough to send the NPP to opposition.

He is of the view that the NDC with the support of the youth wing of the party will win all the six parliamentary seats in the North East region for the NDC in 2020 general elections.

According to him the NDC in the North East region are very prepared to bring the change Ghanaians are yearning for in 2020 by increasing the votes of  John Dramani Mahama and also winning all the six parliamentary seats.

Speaking about the legacies of the NDC in the North East region, Mr. Imoro Abdul Razak said the NPP cannot match the NDC interms of developmental projects in the North East region.

He cited the the establishment of the Gambaga College of Education, the construction of a 57 kilometres road from Nalerigu to Gambaga, construction of an office complex for the education directorate of the West Mamprusi Municipal Assembly, construction of the Mamprugu – Mogduri and Cherekponi District Assemblies as some of the legacies of John Mahama led administration.

He added that the Vice-President, His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who is from the North East region and his NPP led by president Akuffo-Addo have nothing to show in the region.

Some dignitaries present at the training and capacity building workshop were the NDC national youth organizer, Hon. George Opare Addo, Former National Communication Officer of the NDC, Solomon Yaw Nkansah, the North East regional chairmen, Alhassan  Nantomah, Regional Youth Organizer, Alhasan Abdul Kudus and his deputies, Godfred Mayeem and Konlan Mark Lasite.
