NDC Parl. Primaries: Who Wins the Race at La?

The La Dade-Kotopon constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially closed the sale of nomination forms to party members who aspire for the position of Parliamentary Candidate (PC).
The Constituency opened its office for qualified party members to pick nomination forms from Wednesday, July 10 to Friday July 12, 2019, between the hours of 9:00am to 5:00 pm each day.
Out of the Seven party members who expressed interest earlier, only four finally came for the forms with Madam Rita Odoley Sowah, being the only lady. She was the first and only former female MCE for La the Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly who has expressed interest in battling the three male aspirants.
The men include, John Fifi Money, Harold Odartei Thompson and Jake Kwei Adjei Kwei. The rest who due to  their personal reasons couldn’t pick the forms were Kelvin Tetteh Caternor, Rev. Emmanuel Akwertey Da-Silvera and Mensah Sackey.
To get more women into front line politics and the decision processes, the party gave the women and People With Disability the privilege to pay Ghc 12, 500 only while the men are to pay Ghc 25,000.
The NDC lost the parliamentary seat with Nii Amasan Namoale as the incumbent in spite of his performance to Vincent Odotei Sowah in the 2016 general elections.
Following the current economic hardship in the country, the people of La join numerous Ghanaians who are ‘crying’  and calling on the NDC to come to their rescue.
The people of La Dade-Kotopon Municipal hinted this portal that the worst MP in the history of the area is Vincent Odotei Sowah.
They also described Odotei Sowah as an “arrongant and egoistic person who does not respect”.
“We voted for him to teach Namoale a lesson, and not because we do not like the NDC,” they alleged.
