Ayawaso West Wuogon branch of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC) has retained their 2016 Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the upcoming by-election in the area.

Out of 720 votes cast, Delali Kwasi Brempon, who was endorsed by the 137 branches, beat his two contestants with about 415 votes. Ekwow Acquah pulled 190 votes and Ms. Selassie Dede Agbo, a branch chairperson who earlier scared the two males had 115 votes.

With the aggressiveness of the Ayawaso West Wuogon NDC, Brempon Delali said he has learned from his mistakes in the 2016 elections. He promised to ensure those mistakes are not repeated.

He promised to work with everybody, as he appeals especially to the NDC faithful’s who thronged the voting grounds last Friday from other constituencies to offer support to the party in the area.

According to the Constituency Chairman, Bismarck Aborbi-Ayitey, they have the shortcomings of the ‘failed’ ruling NPP so the by-election would be issues based.

He pointed out that following the promises of the NPP that got Ghanaians to trust them with political power, their performance has been very abysmal.

He told GhanaNewsOnline.com.gh in an interview that the Ayawaso West Wuogon seat is on their heart and the opportunity has presented itself for them to pick it this time around.

He pleaded with all NDC members in the area to cooperate with the PC to enable him to snatch the seat this around;

“Everybody must go from house to house, church to church, spot to spot, ghetto to ghetto for us to win the seat peacefully,” Chairman Bismarck pleaded

The two other contestants, Selassie Dede Agbo and Ekwow Acquah pledged their support for the chosen Brempon Kwasi Delali to win the seat for the party.
