NDC Submits Petition to EC, Demands Forensic Audit of Voter Register

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has intensified its push for electoral reforms by submitting a formal petition to the Electoral Commission (EC), calling for a comprehensive forensic audit of the voter register ahead of the December 7 elections. The party insists this step is crucial to safeguarding the integrity and credibility of the electoral process.
During the petition’s presentation to Samuel Tettey, the EC’s Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations, NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia underscored the urgency of the matter. He warned that failure to address the party’s concerns could seriously compromise the credibility of the elections.
This petition submission follows the NDC’s nationwide “Enough is Enough” protest, held in all 16 regions of Ghana, during which thousands of supporters expressed dissatisfaction with the EC. A similar petition was also presented to Parliament.
