NDC will resist new voters register to the last man – Afriyie Ankrah
The opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) has joined five other parties vowing to use all political and legal means to stop the Electoral Commission from compiling a new voters register.
The Electoral Commission has justified their decision to spend in excess of GHC400 million to compile what he argued will be a more credible voters register but has faced stiff opposition from the NDC.
The leading opposition party which is not relenting in its efforts to have the compilation of the register stopped has joined forces with other parties including the APC, PNC, and UPP.
The NDC Director of Elections, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah has said they’ll employ every means at their disposal to stop the EC.
“We’ll resist it to the last man, whatever it takes politically and legally to ensure that we are not going to spend on a register that we don’t need. So what is the problem? we are going to waste money that we don’t have. Is it because of procurement fraud or what or what? We are saying we’ll resist that register.”
