NEDCo strategises to retrieve GHC30 million debt

The Sunyani area office of the Northern Electricity Distribution Company Limited (NEDCo) says it has scheduled Monday, 26 February 2024, to commence phase four of its revenue mobilisation exercise across its operational areas in the Bono and Ahafo Regions.

The move is to retrieve about GHC30 million out of the over GHC160 million owed by its customers.

The Sunyani area manager of NEDCo, Eng. Eugene Odoi Addo, said in an interview with Asaase News that NEDCo will be more strict on its revenue collection.

“For the region here, we hope to collect about GHC30 million. As of yesterday when I checked, customers of NEDCo owe us over GHC160 million. We have been doing the exercise with the human face syndrome for some time now but this time round, we will be a bit more ruthless than the previous ones, Odoi Addo said”.

He urged customers who are into illegal connections to desist from it.
