There has been too many scandals in the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration for the last six (6) years and this is about the 6th management in the Tema Oil Refinery!!!
Minority spokesperson on Energy, Samuel Abdulai Jinapor, made this known in a press Conference with the Parliamentary Press Corps (PPC) in Parliament House last Thursday.
According to the Minority Energy spokesperson, the NPP government is into a 6- year lease of TOR to one Torentcho Company, which according to their checks, have proved that the company has no track record in the Oil Refinery.
He maintained that TOR is a strategic Property for the country, and the country. Sadly enough, it has been left to rot under the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration.
“This contract is inimical, will not benefit the country and the people. We are therefore asking the Nana Addo/ Bawumia led NPP Government to put a stop to this deal. This firefighting approach won’t help. The deal should go through a will resort to all legal means including Parliamentary processes!” he warned.
