Newmont partners Otumfuo Foundation to rolls out AI learning centre at Kona

The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, in collaboration with Newmont, recently deployed an artificial intelligence learning center at Kona in the Sekyere South District of the Ashanti Region.

the initiative seeks to support innovation in Ghana’s educational sector and provide students with the tools and resources needed for effective learning

Sponsored by Newmont, and executed and designed by the Coral Reef Innovation Hub, the AI learning center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, computers, tablets, projectors, robots and more to bring the community up to speed with robotics and AI in a dynamic learning environment that offers digital access for learners and teachers.

The lab is the second of six expected to be opened through this partnership, a testament to our commitment to creating value and improving lives through sustainable and responsible mining.
