The National Peace Council (NPC) has initiated a committee to develop a Code of Conduct to prevent vigilantism and election violence in preparation for Ghana’s 2024 general elections.

Ernest Adu Gyamfi chairs the committee, which comprises representatives from various political parties and is mandated to ensure a peaceful electoral process. At the inaugural meeting in Accra, Gyamfi outlined the committee’s responsibilities, emphasizing measures to promote compliance with the Code of Conduct and address reported violations.
