A letter from the office of the Parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Kpone-Katamanso, Hopeson Adorye, has debunked a publication suggesting that the 2020 Parliamentary Candidate, was arrested on Monday, 14th December 2020 over a death threat on the life of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

According to the letter signed by the spokesperson of Honorable Hopeson Adorye, Prince Dadzie, the said story is “false, malicious, vexatious and has no merit.

Narrating what transpired, the letter stated:
“Honorable Hopeson Adorye received an invitation from the Regional Crime Officer (Tema Regional Command) with regard to an allegation of threat on the life of the Kpone-Katamanso MCE, purportedly made him. He honored the invite by reporting personally, to the command on Monday, 14th December, 2020, as a law-abiding citizen.”

The letter continued: “We fully aware of the diabolical agenda by the MCE against Hopeson Adorye and the NPP at the Kpone-Katamanso. Solomon Tetteh Appiah should know that his occupation as the MCE is due to the fact that gallant patriots stayed true to the cause for NPP to win power.”

It further added that, there shall be no room for the MCE in the coming NPP administration as his actions and inactions has proved his support for the National Democratic Congress.

The letter urged the public to ignore the story and treat it with the disdain it deserves.
