NPP is the only party that can steer Ghana towards progress and prosperity – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has emphasized that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is the only political party that can steer Ghana towards progress and prosperity. Acknowledging the prevailing challenges, the President underscored the NPP’s track record in office, stating, “With our record in office, we are the Party that can bring progress and prosperity to all parts of our country.”

Akufo-Addo conveyed this message following the NPP’s parliamentary primaries in orphan constituencies held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, nationwide.

He urged the victorious candidates to exhibit magnanimity in their celebrations and actively engage those who did not secure success.

In his message, the President highlighted the importance of unity within the party under the leadership of the new presidential candidate, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

“Through this, we shall create the united, formidable front that, under the leadership of our new, worthy presidential candidate, Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, will enable us to go into the difficult 2024 elections with quiet confidence, and, with the help of Almighty God, Break the Eight, which is the fervent wish of all NPP members, and, indeed, of all well-meaning Ghanaians.”

President Akufo-Addo extended congratulations to various levels of party officials, from the national to the polling station level, commending their efforts in ensuring free, fair, transparent, and credible primaries.
