NPP MP appeals to All Presidential Aspirants to support Bawumia

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Sefwi-Akontombra constituency in the Western North Region, Alex Djornobuah Tetteh, has appealed to other Presidential Aspirants to support the current Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to lead the Party into the 2024 general elections.

He said the current developments in the country makes vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the obvious choice among all the NPP supporters and sympathizers, stating that he is “a sure bet for the victory party”.

As the leadership of the NPP sets to announce the timetable for the primaries subject to a Super Delegates’ Conference to reduce the number of Presidential Aspirants to five for the National Delegates Conference, we have learnt that, over One hundred (100) sitting Members of Parliament have covertly and overtly declared support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to lead them into the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Information available to us indicates that these MPs include some members of the Leadership of the Majority side of the House, including the Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, Frank Annoh-Dompreh. Majority Chief Whip, MP for Nsawam/Adoagyiri Constituency.

Also, many government appointees are equally rooting for Dr. Bawumia.
