NPP-USA Gets First TESCON Branch

THE USA branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has inaugurated its first Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON) branch at the University of Memphis.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the NPP running mate for the December 7 polls, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, nicknamed ‘Napo’ in the political circles.

Other NPP officials like Lawyer Henry Nana Boakye aka ‘Nana B’, the NPP National Organiser; Dr. Kingsley Agyemang, Registrar, Scholarship Secretariat and others were present.

The NPP-USA chairperson, Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong, congratulated University of Memphis for being the first school to open TESCON branch in the US.

She, however, tasked the University of Memphis TESCON branch to be disciplined, committed to the cause of the NPP, and work very hard to market the NPP in the US.

“You have a unique chance to make a significant impact not just within the party, but also in your communities here in the US,” the NPP-USA chairperson remarked.

She also admonished the University of Memphis TESCON members to work together, support one another, and be open to the ideas and suggestions from each other.

“Reach out to your fellow Ghanaians, regardless of their political affiliations. Let us promote the values of our heritage and work towards Ghana’s growth,” she noted.

The President of University of Memphis TESCON, Kelvin Gyimah Agyei, assured that his group would embrace hard work and champion the interest of the NPP.

“We must work together to uplift each other and showcase the values of hard work and discipline that our party stands for. We are here to make a difference,” Kelvin Agyei said.
