NPP’s Collins Amoah Accused of Defrauding Friend of GHC80,000
According to Chief Inspector Teye Akuffo, the incident occurred in June 2024 when Ababio was convinced to hand over GHC 800,000 to Amoah and Okuley. They promised to resolve his tax issues; however, after receiving the funds, they allegedly failed to fulfill their commitments and began avoiding Ababio.

The Accra Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of one Collins Amoah – a former parliamentary aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ablekuma Central Constituency who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dansoman based Emerepa TV. The case is in connection with a GHC 800,000 tax fraud case.
The warrant followes allegations that Collins Amoah, along with one other person identified as Solomon Okuley, defrauded a businessman named Ababio under the pretense of using political influence to settle his tax debts with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

Collins Amoah’s legal representatives have since appeared in court following the issuance of the warrant, and has publicly denied the allegations against him, asserting that he is willing to cooperate with authorities.

The case has drawn significant attention given Amoah’s political background and the serious nature of the fraud charges.
When contacted, Collins Amoa said his lawyers were handling the matter, hence he won’t comment on it.
