NPP’s records in economic management unmatched, NDC cannot compete — Finance Minister
Meanwhile, former president John Dramani Mahama has stated that the NPP has failed woefully in all aspects of governance
Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, has asserted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC), cannot use economic metrics to campaign against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) because his party has done extremely better than them.
Dr Amin Adam made this bold statement during a town UK hall meeting in the recently.
According to him, the NPP has left no stone unturned in the economic sector for the NDC to thrive on in their campaign messages.
The Minister disclosed during the meeting that Ghana has even restructured its debt program with its creditors, adding that with this initiative, the cedi will soon appreciate and rock shoulders with the dollar.
He furthered that investors would soon return to Ghana to invest in businesses which will help in the growth trajectory to become clearer.
In his exact words, he said,”On the economy, our record is better than their record. On the size of the economy, we’ve done better than them. On per capita income, we’ve done better than them. On job creation, we’ve done better than them. On economic growth, we’ve done better than them.”
Meanwhile, former president John Dramani Mahama has stated that the NPP has failed woefully in all aspects of governance, citing the government’s failure to cut down expenditure of government officials and increase revenues in the country as key note to back his claims.
