Occupants of Oblieman Lands urged to go for Proper Documentation

The Overlord of Oblieman near Sarpeiman in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, Nii Ayittey Anumle Oyanka I, has warned occupants of Oblieman lands to ensure that they have proper documentation on their lands.

Nii Aryittey Oyanka I, issued the warning when the Land Division of an Accra High Court granted him an order of possession of the lands occupied by people within the area without proper documentation.

Nii said he was taken to Court by “a group of unscrupulous people” who used to describe him (Nii) as an impostor, but they lost the case.

To this effect, the Police assisted him to execute the court order and those who earlier refused to obey the order posted all over the walls were ejected to enable him take possession of his lands.

Speaking to the media, Nii Ayittey Oyanka I,  indicated that the people disrespected the chiefs and so they defy their orders with impunity and get away with it.

He explained that chiefs are representatives of God on earth and so no matter how young or old the chief may be he should be respected.

“If anyone needs explanation on an issue, nothing stops the person from going to seek for clarification from a chief,” Nii said.

Nii Ayittey Oyanka hinted that some people are occupying portions of his lands around Pobiman toll booth. He charged them to also do the right thing to avoid embarrassment.

When the police got to the scene owners of some properties were nowhere to be found as it appeared most of them got a hint of their coming and escaped.

Nii said some of them where those who defied the court order and went ahead to work on the lands at times in the night.
