Do the EPA and Minerals Commission want six (6) truck loads of cyanide to fall into the hands of prowling terrorists in Burkina Faso?
An Owula Mangortey observation...
So, some Accra-based headless ostriches decided to export six (6) truck loads of cyanide into Burkina Faso at a time there is a coup d’etat, and extremists and terrorists are prowling within 10 to 20 km of the Ghana Burkina Faso border?
I hope the EPA and the Minerals Commission consulted the Ministries of National Security and Interior about the cross border security security situation
before issuing or not issuing covering permits for the truck loads of cyanide currently detained at the Paga border post by the Upper East Police!
Whoever took the decision to detain the consignment and refused to allow the crossing of cyanide into Burkina Faso needs commendation!
I can’t imagine the implications for both Burkinabe and Ghanaian Security if the truck loads of cyanide fall into the hands of extremists and terrorists!
I can’t imagine how the extremists and terrorists will use the cyanide for unintended purposes along the borders of Ghana and Burkina Faso?
I can’t imagine how frustrating it could be for the Ministries of National Security, Interior, Defence, the Military, NIB and the Police that some officials at the EPA and the Minerals Commission approved or did not approve such exports at such a time.
Permitting exports of six (6) truck loads of cyanide into Burkina Faso at such a period of insecurity is with the greatest respect, nonsensical!!
Will the EPA and Minerals Commission explain their actions and inactions in this matter?
