One of Mahama’s Photoshop Projects in the Green Book (Terminal 3) receives International Award

In a region as dispersed as the West Africa (Subregion), airports represent much more than a simple travel hub; they are links to the world, jobs, and vital connection to markets for many businesses. The Kotoka International airport is now up and running as a result of the massive renovation work the the previous administration did at the place. The construction of the terminal 3 and other other other major facilities at the place have enabled KIA to offer quality service under improved security. According the authorities the airport handled approximately 2.8 million passengers and 46,996 aircraft in 2019 which is a major achievement.

One cannot downplay the correlation between airport and economic development. Transportation in general affects the development of countries and cities, with air travel having a large stake in both short and long distance transportation. An increase in airport capacity raises productivity and demand in other sectors of the economy hence the need to commend the last administration under the leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for upgrading our major airport. Many countries are investing heavily in their national carrier, airport infrastructure and capacity building to connect their countries to market overseas, ensure access for business professionals and investors, and create employment.

Government is getting huge revenue from the place as a result of the expansion, shops at the place have been allocated to party members and children of top NPP executives, governing party’s members have been employed to work at the place as security capos etc yet, the President tells the world that his predecessor left him nothing. As we celebrate the achievement of KIA (international ward), those who ignorantly rubbished the airport project and wickedly lied about the cost and funding, should religiously apologise to the former administration and those who made this gargantuan achievement possible. I am very sure that the YEAR OF RETURN visitors commended Ghana for this great achievement when they met the President. I don’t know if our President told his guests that it was as a result of his predecessor’s visionary leadership.

We heard all kinds of stories about the facility including a short video which was shared by Lawyer Ace Ankomah- that the newly built terminal 3 was flooded which turned out to be false.
