The verdict out there is that if these Ministers continue this way, it will not be difficult for the government by extension its party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to break the 8 year jinx.

The following Ministers of State in the first year of President Akufo-Addo are my star Ministers. They have demonstrated nationalism, patriotism, commitment, loyalty and dedication to duties.

They have so far displayed their readiness to actualize the mission, vision and the intention of the President. They are not armchair leaders at their various Ministries. They are always on the move and taking some decisive decisions and actions, all in the interests of the population.

The verdict out there is that if these Ministers continue this way, it will not be difficult for the government by extension its party, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to break the 8 year jinx.

In addition, they relate very well and are ready to listen to their guests.

The Ministers include the following:
Hon Dan Botwe
Hon Abu Jinapor
Hon Henry Quartey
Hon Asenso Boakye
Hon Mustafa Ussif
Hon Gofred Dame
Hon Mohammed Awal
Hon J.P. Amewu
Hon Dominic Nitiwul
Hon Amoako Atta
Hon Seth Acheampong.
Hon Matthew Opoku Prempeh.
Hon Dr Afriyie Akoto.

From my perspective and having had chats with some Ghanaians, these distinguished Ministers were mentioned for performing creditably.

I am confident that they will continue to push the agenda of the President to the apex to bring the reliefs the good people of our beloved country expect from them.

Hon Dan Kweku Botwe, Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development

An excellent performance as the sector Minister. His role in getting almost all the 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief EXECUTIVES (MMDCEs) to be confirmed by their various Assemblies is reassuring and commendable.

He also worked assiduously to ensure the creation of the newest District for the people of Santrokofi, Akpafu,Likpe and Lolobi.

His leadership role to tame the tense environment during the nomination and confirmation of the Chief Executives was a mark of a good leadership. His communication skills succeeded in doing the magic wand for the government.
Excellent human relations.

The next is Abu Jinapor, a young and dynamic gentleman who is changing the phase of his Ministry by implementing some ambitious decisions just to sanitize our mining and land sectors. These are very challenging sectors.

He has also launched alternative programs for the galamsey miners and sanitizing the controversial land sector. Just admire his working relationship with his 2 Deputies.

Hon Asenso Boakye, another selfless gentleman who is walking his talks by undertaking some huge investments in works and housing sectors. Floods in Accra have reduced tremendously. He relates very well. He is working assiduously to solve the housing deficit in the country.

Hon Amoako Atta his doing very well by constructing some good roads and asphalting many of the roads in Accra, Kumasi,Tema.

At least I have seen some good roads in Ashalley Botwe, Adjiringano, East Legon,Kumasi township, Nima- Mamobi etc. He moves to see things by himself. Very action oriented.

His alacrity to get the Wa roads fixed during the recent floods in that part of the country was commendable.

Hon Henry Quartey, Regional Minister for the Greater Accra. He is a toast of the inhabitants of the region and the President for his sterling performance in changing the region to its original position of a clean region.

He walks his talks and he is achieving a lot for the region in the areas of sanitation, discipline and security. Gradually, Accra is gaining its correct definition and shape.

Hon Mustafa Ussif is very calm gentleman. So far he is continuing the good works started by his predecessor, Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah. Key among them are the ratification of the Protocol Agreement for Accra 2023 African Games, renovation of the Ministry’s block, infrastructure/Sports facilities for African Games, Black Stars qualification to Cameron 2022 and the seriousness of the team to also qualify for Qatar 2022.

He has also succeeded in getting the President to commit the nation in hosting and organizing the Africa Olympics. Construction of new infrastructure for the tournament is about commencing and I like his commitment in pushing the contractors to deliver.

Hon Godfred Yeboa Dame: the Attorney General and the Minister of Justice. He has so far performed creditably as the nation’s chief legal officer. He has salvaged the nation in both national and international disputes.

His commitment in ensuring the success of the state in all criminal matters and International disputes is very encouraging.

He has succeeded in getting scholarship for some lawyers at his Ministry and other private lawyers as a way of improving their scholarship and legal training.

He needs the support of all.
