The organisers of the ‘#DumsorMustStop’ vigil have hinted that they are prepared to challenge the Ghana Police Service’s injunction, which prevents them from holding their demonstration on May 25, 2024.

This statement comes after the Ghana Police Service filed an injunction application with the High Court to halt the vigil and demand that organisers change the protest route.

However, in an interview Citi News, Selorm Dramani Dzramado stated that the group will not accept any injunction by the police.

“We will not accept any application by the police ex-parte. We will disregard it, and treat it with utter contempt. If the court respects and listens to them and the decision is taken,, you don’t really have a choice. But it’s good you said that it’s on notice. So you’re going to defend in court. You’re going to argue in court. That will be on 24th May. So it’s Friday.” Selorm Dramani Dzramado said

Ghanaian actress and film producer, Yvonne Nelson announced intentions to organize a vigil in protest of the country’s recent power crisis.

Expressing displeasure with the current happening, she described the erratic power bedevilling Ghanaians as disheartening and alarming.

Yvonne Nelson and her team met with the Ghana Police Service days ago to notify the police of the intended protest as required by law.
