Otumfuor vindicates Odike: Akufo-Addo vindicates Otumfuor

The confession of the Bosome Freho DCE regardless of the bereavement warranted immediate dismissal, arrest and prosecution of the DCE, if President Akufo-Addo and his Government was serious about fighting Galamsey.

Otumfuor Osei Tutu II bluntly told the American Ambassador that President Akufo-Addo is not serious about fighting Galamsey, he bluntly told the Asanteman Council at an Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs meeting last week that some of his Chiefs are involved in Galamsey…

Yesterday the Local Government Minister, Dan Botwe on behalf the President wrote a letter suspending the DCE of Bosome Freho after he admitted to the viral audio recording implicating him in Galamsey activities…

RECALL:
When the DCE of Denkyera Obuasi was alleged to be complicit in the Galamsey related lynching of Major Adam Mahama, after public outcry, President Akufo Addo did not sack him but rather suspended him for sometime and brought him back after the dust had settled…

President Akufo-Addo has a pattern of clearing his appointees each time they are caught even on tape, in the face of evidence, allow a little time to pass and claim that some investigations has proved the said appointee(s) not guilty; the Pius Hadzide “Australian Olympics VISA scandal”, the Samuel Abu Jinapor and Asenso Boakye “Thieves of Staff scandal” which further exposed Maame Tiwaa Addo Dankwa the then head of Police Criminal Investigations Department [CID] in the “A-plus Cover-upTape Sandal,”, rather got her promoted to the rank of COP and subsequently appointed to head the Economic and Organised Crime Office [EOCO].

ECONOMIC AND ORGANISED CRIME OFFICE (EOCO) is a specialised agency to monitor and investigate economic and organised crime and on the authority of the Attorney General prosecute these offences, to recover the proceeds of crime.

EOCO – whose ideals are Dedication, Professionalism, Justice, Integrity and Vigilance would have been better suited for the investigations into Galamsey that the Office of the Special Prosecutor but for Maame Tiwaa Addo Dankwa being EOCO boss, Samuel Abu Jinapor being the Lands Minister, the partisan Godfred Yeboah Dame being Attorney General as well as President Akufo-Addo’s record of clearing his appointees and not being serious about fighting Galamsey and Corruption.

RECALL:
When the video of another DCE threatened a Police Officer for daring to arrest him for road traffic offence went viral, after public uproar, President Akufo Addo suspended him for a while and has recently brought him back after the dust had settled…

The Ellembelle DCE vs Ghana Policedrama over Zoomlion branded Excavators used in Galamsey remains unresolved…

FACT:
President Nana Akufo-Addo reinstated the DCE of Sekyere East, Mary Beatrice Marfo who was dismissed on September 22, 2020, after a leaked tape incident.

But a letter dated September 24, 2020, and signed by Kwasi Boateng Adjei, Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, said the President “has rescinded the decision to revoke the appointment of Hon. Mary Beatrice Marfo as DCE of Sekyere East District Assembly.”

So the Bosome Freho DCE’s letter signed by the Local Government Minister just follows the “wait till the dust settles and reinstate” policy of the Akufo-Addo government.

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Antwi-Boasiako [Chairman Wuntumi] and his Akonta Mining Company are expected to walk free after the destruction of forest reserve and rivers through their illegal Galamsey activities.

The recent charade of burning of some obsolete items at his mining site occurred after he had been allowed to remove his Excavators from the area.

Following the Deputy Lands Minister, Benito Owusu-Bio’s flyover and claims of no further activity at the Akonta Mining Galamsey site in the Forest Reserve there are independent media accounts suggest that mining is ongoing.

Weeks after the video showing Okyehene’s Galamsey Vigilante group went on a shooting spree in the streets of Akyem Abuakwa went viral, they are still walking free…

President Akufo Addo, Samuel Abu Jinapor, Ambrose Derry and the IGP are pretending not to be aware and allowing Vigilantism and Gangterism to become the new normal associated with Galamsey.

Indeed the allegations of George Mireku Duker’s involvement in Galamsey and the deadly Galamsey Gang Wars on Citi FM and Joy News TV has been ignored by President Akufo-Addo, Samuel Abu Jinapor, Ambrose Derry and the IGP…

The recent butchering of a cousin and the arson attack on the family house of the Dompem Pepesa Chief who blew the whistle on the Deputy Lands Minister, George Mireku Duker, the Western Regional Minister and Tarkwa DCE is also being ignored by President Akufo Addo, Samuel Abu Jinapor, Ambrose Derry and the IGP…

It is not strange because the 15th April, 2021 Kpletso shooting and assault by the Ghana Armed Forces in the presence of DCOP Kwesi Ofori and other senior Police officers despite several petitions has till date been ignored by President Akufo-Addo, Samuel Abu Jinapor, Ambrose Derry and the IGP…

Recall, that after the Kpletso Shooting and Assault by the Military was ignored the impunity went to Ejura where the Military shot dead innocent Ghanaians, then to mutineering soldiers going on a beating spree on the streets of Wa in retaliation for a colleague’s stolen phone and then Suame where there was a tense standoff between the Police and the Military which nearly triggered a shootout but for the intervention of their respective commanders…

The announcement by the Lands Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor that henceforth the entire fight against Galamsey was being left to the military rather than the Police, is unconstitutional and illegal.

The Military is trained primarily to Kill and their record in civil matters does not allow for due process, hence without the declaration of a State of Emergency, inviting the Military to takeover is akin to a declaration of a Coup.

Recklessness and Hotheadedness is not the solution to Ghana’s Galamsey nightmare.

A declaration of a State of Emergency and a ban on all forms of mining must precede any serious attempt to fight Galamsey.

The ban must remain in force until the effects of Galamsey on the environment particularly the pollution of the rivers and water bodies is totally reversed.

During the period of the ban government must ensure reclamation of Lands, reafforestation through a properly coordinated tree planting exercise which will include commercial trees like teak and other cash crops like rubber and palm fruit not limited to Cocoa.

The Excavators and other equipment seized from the Galamsey sites will be useful in reversing the effects of Galamsey.

The human labour required for the reversal of the effects of Galamsey will mean employment…

The re-engineering of the rivers and water bodies will have to include dams and reservoirs deliberately created out of the existing excavations after the the polluted water is pumped out and treated.

Ghana’s Galamsey tragedy can be turned around if serious minds are engaged…

This effort must be all-embracing, National in character though Community based, the Chiefs, the Youth and indeed everyone must be involved and a comprehensive economic model designed around this to ensure sustainability.

Ghana maylose some revenue from the ban on all forms of mining but will gain much more from the ban and reclamation of Lands Forests, Rivers and Water Bodies.

Ghana will avoid destruction and Ghanaians will survive the obvious extinction if the status quo of mining is allowed.

A new regime of post-galamsey fight accountability is necessary; the Government, Chiefs and the entire community including corporate citizens will have to be transparent and accountable to the People.

When Odike spoke truth to Power, he should not have been banished by the Chiefs of the Asanteman Council who the Otumfuor Osei Tutu II told in their faces exactly what Odike said on Oyerepa FM.

The impunity with which the Chiefs of the Asanteman Council ordered the closure of the Media house must not be allowed to pass without punishment.

The Chiefs must be made to face due process, they must be charged and prosecuted together with others as happened to Ada Radio to serve as deterrent to others.

The National Media Commission and the Ghana Journalists Association must be ashamed of themselves for their inept handling of such matters.

The Civil Society DumbDogs, the Clergy and Moral Society must stop being Enablers by not allow intimidation and attacks to become the new normal.

Galamsey and indeed Gold Mining happens in about 13 out of 16 Regions of Ghana.

Galamsey is not limited to Gold Mining;

THE MINING OF SALT or “WHITE GOLD” MUST ATTRACT NATIONAL ATTENTION;

The natural forming salt crystals of Africa’s richest Salt Mine at Ada in the estruay of the Songhor Lagoon cannot be gifted to an individual or party financier.

The Executive Instrument that President Akufo Addo signed in November, 2020 purporting to give the entire Ada Salt and Lagoon to McDan through Electrochem despite the protests of the Chiefs and People of Ada must be scrutinised.

When McDan recently started exporting the Ada Songhor Salt he made a profound statement that the proceeds from the the Ada Songhor Salt can save Ghana from.the economic situation that has compelled government to run to the IMF.

So what was President Akufo Addo’s motivation for yanking the Ada Songhor Salt from the People of Ada and Sege and handing it over to his party financier?

LAND IS THE PRIMARY FACTOR OF PRODUCTION;

The Looting of State Acquired Lands that has assumed epidemic levels must like the destruction of Forests and Farmlands or Rivers and Water Bodies must be of concern to all Ghanaians.

State Acquired Lands worth billions of dollars cannot be allocated to private persons connected to government.

These fraudulent allocation of State Lands are in contravention of the Constitution, Trust Law and as in the classic case of the Cantonments Civil Aviation Land being stolen by faceless persons including alleged Chinese Galamseyers.

The Lands Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor and his deputy Benito Owusu-Bio and the Lands Commission are SHEEPISHLY LOOKING ON AS THE PRIME CANTONMENTS Civil AVIATION LAND IS STOLEN BECAUSE OF THE OBVIOUS.

Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo together with hundreds of other high profile personalities were fraudulently allocated prime State Acquired Land.

Chief Justice Sophia paid GHc7000 for the prime Cantonments State Land worth millions, when an Article 146 Petition for her removal was submitted to President Akufo Addo, he refused to act on the Petition in breach of the Constitution because of the obvious.

Sampson Lardi Anyinenyi, Ace Ankoma, Yaw Oppong and their other OccupyGhana friends pretended it was okay for President Akufo Addo to commit High Crime be refusing to act on the Article 146 Petition;

These OccupyGhana folks had categorically stated previously that he was only a conveyor belt or a postal address in such Article 146 Petition cases and had no choice but to act immediately he received an Article 146 Petition as was confirmed by Occupier Kweku several times on national television including on Newsfile and Good Morning Ghana.

It will be recalled that Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode returned a similar Prime State Acquired Land in Airport when an Article 146 Petition for her removal was submitted to President John Evans Atta Mills, that Land was subsequently used to build the Foreign Affairs Head Office Complex.

All documents covering all State Acquired Lands must be made public and all allocations reversed, fradulently allocated Lands retrieved to the State or returned to the Original Land Owners.

President Akufo Addo set the precedent by recently through E.I. 432 returning to the Asantehene in trust for the Subjects of the GOLDEN STOOL 409 acres of State Acquired Lands including those occupied by the Military before the coming into force of this Constitution.

Kpletso and other illegally military annexed or ocvupied Lands together with other La Lands State which per Article 20 (5)(6) are due to be returned to the La Stool must be duly returned to the La Mantse in trust for the Subjects of the LA STOOL and no other person or group of persons.

Just like Galamsey, some unscrupulous Chiefs have been party to the Looting of State Lands and even the Stealing of the Forests Estuaries Ramsar Sites and Salt.

All Chiefs involved in Galamsey, Land Looting and FRAUD generally and their accomplices in Government Lands Commission, Minerals Commission, Forestry Commission and EPA amongst others must in accordance with the laws of Ghana be taken through due process.

The proceeds of Galamsey, Corruption and Money Laundering are hidden in fraudulent Land Transactions to avoid detection in bank accounts.

WHERE IS THE REPORT ON THE CANTONMENTS CIVIL AVIATION LAND COMMISSIONED BY SAMUEL ABU JINAPOR AS LANDS MINISTER?

The Special Prosecutor must compel Samuel Abu Jinapor to name all those he claims have been taking over the Prime State Lands and Bungalows with little or no activity then come to his office to pressure him to allocate these prime lands to them.

The Special Prosecutor must take immediate action in respect of the Cantonments Civil Aviation Landgrab and the Labone Bungalow Looting currently underway as it hold the key to unravelling many major unresolved Corruption Galamsey and Money Laundering cases.

When the Clergy call for the congregation to march onto the streets in protest of the lack of seriousness of the Akufo Addo government they must demand specific actions such as an independent Public Enquiry.

Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators.

God Save Our Homeland Ghana Ghana help us survive the WASTED YEARS OF THE AKUFO ADDO-ADDO-BAWUMIA GOVERNMENT and their DumbDogs who can’t speak truth to power because they are compromised or complicit or corrupt.
