The reactions of Ghanaians to the announcement of payment of backdated salaries to presidential spouses is one that gives credence to Twene Jonas’ social media rants.

According to many Ghanaians, the move to formalize the payment of salaries and allowances to the First and Second Lady for the fact that they are the wives of the President and Vice President is quite absurd.

The 1992 constitution has not defined and given the First Lady and Second Lady any role to play as far as governance is concerned and that is why many are concerned that they are to be paid with the taxpayers money.

Many believe Twene Jonas needs to be taken seriously henceforth since all that he has been saying about the leaders of Ghana is true and is manifesting by the day.

Although some Ghanaians do not agree with the harsh words Twene Jonas uses on leaders, many do accept the fact that the political leadership is failing the citizens and it is high time they are told what is right.

Twene Jonas seems to have been vindicated in the eyes of many Ghanaians after hearing the news of the presidential wives ready to be paid gargantuan salaries and allowances in the face of teething and pertinent issues begging for attention.
