Outbreak of COVID-19 in Ghana: NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Okaikoi Central donates items to combat pandemic
Okaikoi Central Parliamentary Candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abdul Rashid Issah, has donated over 3,000 hand sanitizers, 850 liquid soaps and 500 Veronica buckets to some members of of his constituenc. KKey recipients include the National Chief Imam, Sunnah leader, Abeka Mantse Palace, Okaikoi Zongo Chiefs Palace, Abeka Market, Tesano Police Station, Darkuman Police Station, Lapaz Police Post, Lapaz Tema Station, Lapaz Kaneshie Station, Apenkwa CHPS Compound among other Vantage points.
Hon Rashid took the opportunity of the excercise to advise all members of the constituency to safeguard the items for longer usage. He assured them of more items should the need arise. He said the COVID-19 Pandemics is not an individual fight but a shared responsibility, as such each and every one must contribute their quota so the fight can be won.
According to him, the former president and now flagbearer of the NDC, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has given out comprehensive measures to combat the deadly COVID-19 and so all citizens must willingly demonstrate their support as well.
He mentioned portions of the Qur’an that says, cleanness leads to Godliness and urging all party members to help implement the measures in in their own interest.
