The blockchain trainees graduated on Sunday, 8th December 2019 at the Tamale Technical University(TaTU).

Speaking to ghfactsoline.com at the graduation ceremony of the hundred trainees, a facilitator with the Aeryus BlockChain Solutions, Mr. Abdul Kudus said the training by the Aeryus BlockChain Solutions which focused on teaching the students the genesis of blockchain is the first phase of a One Million African project.

Mr. Abdul Kudus is of the view that the training will educate the students the need to join the new revolution, such as cryptocurrency, bitcoin and blockchain.

He further revealed that a second phase of the training will be coming in January 2020 which Cadona will be coming in to support.

According to him the second phase training will focus on the practical aspect of blockchain technology which will help the trainees to develop applications with the blockchain technology to solve problems in the society such as land disputes.

He added that the second phase training will unravel numerous opportunities on blockchain and urged the graduands to read more about blockchain.

Speaking about the importance of blockchain, another facilitator with the Aeryus Block Chain Solutions, Mr. Mohammed Abdul Razak explained that blockchain which is globally recognized is out to help workers, increase productivity and also curtail corruption in the society.

Mr. Abdul Razak also made a passionate call on the Government of Ghana to come out with a legal framework to intruduce block chain as a subject in the country’s educational system for students to study.

He believes block chain will be a remedy to corruption and also create a fertile ground for transparency to thrive.

The facilitator also revealed that there are plans in place to move the block chain training from tertiary institutions to the pre-tertiary level such as JHS and SHS in the country and added that people who do not have formal education will not be left out in the training.

Certificates were presented to all the trainees at the graduation ceremony after six weeks of intensive training.
