Owula Mangortey writes from afar to NANA ASANTE BEDIATUO…
Do not be afraid. Those Who Are with You Are More!
I read a widely circulated heart-wrenching tweet from Lawyer Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, which made me know that Nana Asante Bediatuo was unwell and was receiving medical attention.
I intended to go on Asaase Radio to wish my brother NANA ASANTE BEDIATUO a speedy recovery. I call Nana Asante Bediatuo my brother, because I worked under his father, Lawyer Kofi Asante, at the Energy Commission. Also, one of my sons attended Ghana International School with the children of Nana Asante Bediatuo.
Regrettably, I was unable to go on Asaase Radio because I left Dodowa for an urgent field assignment in the Bawku general area
So, I write to wish my brother, NANA ASANTE BEDIATUO, a speedy recovery. I pray for good health, a long life, and vitality for Nana Asante Bediatuo to see his grandchildren’s children’s children. I pray for more peace, progress, and prosperity for Nana Asante Bediatuo.
It is common knowledge that I have had public disagreements with Nana Asante Bediatuo over an official letter he signed on behalf of President Akufo-Addo titled, APPOINTMENTS AT GHANA GAS COMPANY, with reference number OPS 101/1 Vol. 3/17/756 of 9th May 2017.
Fortunately for me, even though I was initially upset by the effects of the letter, I was blessed to receive counseling and advice from the venerable Francis Poku, the National Security Capo Emeritus, and I moved on in life.
From my base in Bawku, I have become a better citizen (and not a spectator), making my contributions to the maintenance of national stability and security – especially in the northern sector of the country.
My brother Nana Asante Bediatuo, as you may be aware, sometimes we are totally surrounded by so much negativity that we become vulnerable and helpless. When you face times like that, I pray for God to open your eyes to see that those who are with you are more than those who are against you.
My brother, don’t be afraid, therefore, of the tens of thousands that set themselves against you, for, “God is a shield around you, your glory and the lifter up of your head” (Psalm 3:1-3).
My brother Asante Bediatuo, kindly remain absolutely strong and be gloriously blessed. Shalom.
Once again, I wish my brother NANA ASANTE BEDIATUO a speedy recovery. Enjoy abundant blessings of more peace, progress, and prosperity.
I shall return.
