The Parliament of Ghana has announced it is accepting Memoranda on the three judges appointed to the Supreme Court of Ghana.
The Appointments Committee says the general public should the Memoranda on the three appointees not later than 2nd December 2019 to: The Clerk Appointments Committee Parliament House

The Committee said it has scheduled to hold public hearings to consider the nominations from 9th December-10th December 2019 at 10:00 AM.
The programme for the hearings is as follows:
Justice Mariam Owusu-Monday, 9th December 2019
Justice Avril Lovelace-Johnson-Monday, 9th December 2019
Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Torkorno-Tuesday, 10th December 2019
President Nana Akufo-Addo a few days ago made three appointments to the Supreme Court subject to the approval of Parliament.
They have been appointed to replace three justices who are on retirement or are due for retirement by the end of the year namely, Justice Vida Akoto-Bamfo, Justice Sophia Adinyira and Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo.
The current Chief Justice, Sophia A.B Akuffo, will retire on December 20, 2019.
Per Article 144 clause 1 of the 1992 Constitution, the President appoints a Justice of the Supreme Court as Chief Justice in consultation with the Council of State and with the approval of Parliament.
