Parliament approves Anin Yeboah as new Chief Justice

Chief Justice-nominee Justice Anin Yeboah has been approved by Parliament following his successful vetting on Monday.

He was vetted by the Appointment Committee of the House composed of both sides.

President Akufo-Addo is, however, yet to determine when he will sworn into office, the new CJ.

Justice Anin Yeboah has become the first male Chief Justice of the land to be appointed in 12 years.

He will take over from Justice Sophia Akuffo. He will be Ghana’s 26th Chief Justice since 1876.
