Parliament resumes sitting June 11
During that session, Parliament approved a loan agreement of US$150 million to finance the ongoing Greater Accra Resilient and Integrated Development (GARID) Project and confirmed the appointments of several Minister and Deputy Minister nominees.
Members of Parliament are expected to resume full sitting on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
The session will commence promptly at 10:00 am and will see the introduction of numerous legislative bills for consideration.
“Parliament to commence the third meeting of the fourth session of the eighth Parliament of the fourth Republic on Tuesday, 11th June 2024 @ 10:00 am at Parliament House, Accra,” excerpts of the recall notice read.
This comes after the House held a one-day emergency session to consider a petition from the Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, requesting that the session address outstanding government business.
