Parliament: Speaker Bagbin sacks Sefwi Wiawso MP from the Chamber
This action was taken following a challenge by the NPP MP to the Speaker's authority
Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has instructed the Marshal of Ghana’s Parliament to escort Member of Parliament for Sefwi-Wiawso, Dr. Kwaku Afriyie, out of the House chamber.
This action was taken following a challenge by the NPP MP to the Speaker’s authority regarding preliminary comments on the referral of nominees to the Supreme Court for consideration by the Appointments Committee.
