Party Police Attempt Stopping Picketing to Protect President from Ghanaian Citizens;

“Democracy is being deliberately priced out of the reach of poor suffering Ghanaians by the Police, using Court Fees as deterrent to potential demonstrators.”

The Ghana Police Service by law is obliged to provide adequate security and ensure the protection of Ghanaians who notify them of their intent to exercise their fundamental Constitutional Rights to Assemble and Demonstrate.

Politically motivated Police officers have routinely resorted to stopping the exercise of these Constitutional Rights of Ghanaians by placing Court injunctions on such public events very close to the dates to frustrate organisers and also impose on those who proceed to court, to incur high court filing fees to serve as a disincentive to would-be protesters.

Just as some public servants including MPs try catching the eye of the President in order to secure appointments or promotions; the Police is guilty…

Suffering Ghanaians are being gagged by these Party & Political Police Officers…

The individual Police Officers who in their attempt to punish potential protesters with high filing fees, have willfully caused the State to pay equally high filing fees each time they go to court to stop them.

The Auditor General will in the coming days, be asked to SURCHARGE THESE INDIVIDUAL POLICE OFFICERS with these costs which cumulatively have contributed to Ghana being poor and the Ghanaian taxpayers poorer by this wanton dissipation of the public purse at the courts through frivolous and vexatious injunctions.

DEMO IS PART OF DEMOCRACY.

Demo is a DEMOCRATIC RIGHT of every Ghanaian under the Constitution of Ghana.

The Ghana Police Service is not responsible for determining LOGIC AND LINGUISTIC Analysis of Notices of Demonstration brought before them; as the Police declared in court.

The Ghana Police Service is duty bound, to make available such personnel and logistics required for the success of Special Events, Demonstrations or Picketing within 5days of being notified as per the Public Order Act.

The Civil Liberties of Ghanaians are not for any member of the Ghana Police Service to determine, to the pleasure of their political masters.

AriseGhana, Justice For Ghana and all other CSOs or individual Ghanaian citizens shall continue to exercise their fundamental Constitutional Rights to Assembly and Demonstration including Picketing against any person(s) or group(s) or Government including the President.

It is not the duty of the Police to prescribe Press Conferences to replace Demonstrations.

THE ANGER OF SUFFERING GHANAIANS IS BEING PUSHED TO THE LIMIT BY THESE PARTY POLICE OFFICERS.

Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators.

The eruption of the anger of Ghanaians suffering the excruciating hardships is being compounded by the suppression of Rights and oppression of the People…

Akufo Addo himself predicted in the studios of Peace FM on Kwame Sefa Kayi’s Kokrokoo show that Ghanaians are likely to have an UPRISING if the prevailing conditions continued…

THE GHANA UPRISING is imminent as confirmed by the former Chief of Staff Kojo Mpiani and former National Security Coordinator Brigadier General Nunoo-Mensah.

The Ghana Police Service must not become a catalyst for the UPRISING since its consequences will be dire for Ghana.

The Constitution of Ghana in recognition of the need to vent anger and disagreement through such Special Events catered for them specifically in the Constitution.

🎼 AriseGhana Youth for your country.

Arise in defence of the Ghanaian CONSTITUTION…

Arise in defence of DEMOCRACY…

Arise in defence of GHANA.

God Save Our Homeland Ghana and help us survive the WASTED YEARS OF THE AKUFO-ADDO-BAWUMIA GOVERNMENT and their DumbDogs who can’t speak truth to power because they are compromised or complicit or corrupt.
