PassionAir to start 4x weekly Accra-Sunyani flights in September

The planned scheduled flights by the domestic airline operator, which operates Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and Bombardier Dash 8 Q300 planes that can transport 78 and 50 passengers respectively, follow the opening of the airport to traffic after extensive renovation and expansion work at the facility.

PassionAir, the domestic airline with the largest route network in Ghana, is set to start four weekly flights between Accra’s Kotoka International Airport and the newly-renovated Sunyani Airport in the first week of September.

The planned scheduled flights by the domestic airline operator, which operates Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 and Bombardier Dash 8 Q300 planes that can transport 78 and 50 passengers respectively, follow the opening of the airport to traffic after extensive renovation and expansion work at the facility.

Management of the airline, during a visit to Wa to assess their operations, engage with travel consultants, and pay a working visit to the MP for the area, disclosed that it is considering operationalising the Accra-Kumasi-Wa-Kumasi-Accra route, as well as the Accra-Tamale-Wa-Tamale-Accra service.

The team, led by the Accountable Manager of PassionAir, Mr. Edward Annan, paid a courtesy call on the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr Hafiz Bin Salih, and interacted with travel consultants in the region.

Other members of the team include Managing Director, Samuel ATO Hagan; Chief Operating Officer, Duncan Sambu; Human Resource Manager,  Rebecca Ruttmern; and Sales Supervisor, Munirah Yussif.

PassionAir currently operates daily flights from Accra’s Kotoka International Airport to Kumasi, Tamale. Takoradi and Wa. PassionAir also operates charter services within Ghana and the West Africa Sub-region.
