Perpetual Okaijah Looks Forward To Joining Black Hitters After Receiving WISA Achievers Award
Perpetual was among 32 personalities and organisations who were honoured at the Accra Sports Stadium last Saturday at the 10th WISA Awards.
Ms Perpetual Naa Ayikailey Okaijah, a female boxer who was recognized and rewarded by the Women In Sports Association (WISA) for her exploits in winning gold in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is optimistic of rejoining the national female boxing team.
Speaking to Yours Truly at the 10th WISA Awards ceremony at the Accra Sports Stadium she expressed her joy and commended the organisers as she never knew there was sometime for her after she was dropped from the national boxing team, and decided to do MMA at the 13th African Games.
“I have learnt a lot, that one must never be discouraged in life, and I am always happy for my life because I feel I am blessed and I know there are more chances and opportunities for me. I thank God and wish WISA president, directors and supporters all the best” she said.
