With a simplified moto: “stay informed, in touch and in style”, Phase2Face Beauty College, formerly Phase2phace Beauty Clinic and College has been in operation since 2008 specializing in training, related arts and sciences.

Over the years, the school has seen a remarkable developmental phases.
Currently training in Nail Technician, Make up Artistry, Braiding, Skin care and Body therapy, among others, the school can boast of students who are contributing their quota immensely to the development of Ghana’s economy.

With the mission to produce well rounded professional graduates, Mrs Annor Abini said the fear of becoming jobless after tertiary education inspired her to take up such an initiative.

“The passion to establish a school of this kind that teaches hands on skill, after I finished school, secondary school and other tertiary, the edge kept coming.

“I’m a stenographer secretary, but then I didn’t enjoy it, I felt like I was still going back to the braiding and other things. So I picked it up.

“I had an experience where my elder sisters and family members, friends will finish school, big school, and they will not get anything to do. So it bothered me and when I see girls going about not doing anything and they’re moving around aimlessly, I don’t feel good.

“As you can see there’s a gentleman in there as part of them, so they’re making a stride in the industry and this is going a long way to help them. They’re able to fend for themselves and I think it is going far,” she stated.

Asked why one should choose Phace2Face Beauty Clinic and College over other schools, Mrs Annor Bini reacted “…We have a state of the arts facility here now, I don’t even know what to say.”

According to her, the upgrade the college has seen so far is huge.

“The emphasis is professional because there’s a lot of training institutions out there. Not to mess up anybody’s work, but I’m talking about professionalism, how to do it and do it well. We have the tools, we have the state of the art tools to give 21st century training to you. It’s not only having the tools, but we can be able to train you the best way because we have experienced facilitators too,” she stated.

Some of the graduating students also shared their experience in enrolling in Phase2Face Beauty College and the challenges that have come with it especially for the male participants.

One of the Male graduates, Francis Authur said “most people think men in this kind of sector are ‘gays’.

He therefore called on Ghanaians to dispose off such a mentality because he is in the beauty sector, but he isn’t part of the LGBTQ+ community.

Francis said he is not moved by the perceptions people have but to do what is right.
