PICTURES: Illegal miners invade Atewa Forest Reserve

A Rocha Ghana, an environmental Non-Governmental Organisation has raised alarm about invasion of Atewa Forest in the Eastern Region by illegal miners.

The invasion comes despite the ban on mining in the country’s Forest reserve.

In a Facebook post executive director of Arocha Ghana Daryl Bosu accused the Forestry Commission of looking on whiles such illegal activities take place in the Atewa Forest Reserve

“Illegal miners invade Atewa Forest while the Forestry Services Division at Kyebi looks on,” he posted on Facebook.
